stepping up and reaching out
Have you ever felt quite alone in a pursuit?
Like it's you and your little group of people trying to accomplish something which keeps falling?
Motivation slowly but surly diminishes and you're suddenly at the end of the rope with no dream left.
That's often been the story I've experienced, especially with campus ministry. But the Lord is bringing something fresh to my campus and inasmuch, my heart. A small group of students and community members have been working together with Carry The Love to bring their campus tour to our University!
This process has felt at times like the above questions, like we've been alone in our hopes and pursuits. But there has been such beauty uncovered as we have stepped up and reached out to our campus community. Our little team has grown at least double in prayer supporters.
This is awesome, but it pales in comparison to the heart's response to going and having conversations. Literally meeting people where they are at, some went out of their way to meet me where I was at. The Lord is moving here and I am so honored to be part of his movement. There is so much I wish to express but cannot find the words to convey how full my heart is from the conversations I've had the opportunity to partake in with my brothers and sisters, some of whom three weeks ago I didn't know were dwelling in this place with me.
What action are you not taking?
Why not turn that inaction into the best action of your life?
Don't regret the times past where you sat still, instead, move now and embrace all the Lord has for you.
Thank you to the countless members of the Ship community who have taken some time out of their weeks to ask and hear about the movement God is bringing to our home!
