#thankfulfor
Over the past few months life has changed drastically for all of us. In this time many of us have had to take a real hard look at the things we value and prioritize in life. Assessing what we value compared to how we have (or more likely; haven't) allowed our lives to reflect those things. Many people have picked up projects they've been telling themselves for years they want to do. Others have found that they really don't want to do those projects they've been talking about for years.
How I view and interact with the things that I value has really been reshaped over the past few years of my life. I continue to learn how to prioritize things in life and just when I think I've got it I'm struck by just how much I don't got it. It's reminders like these which usually come in a time of forced rest often via sickness or injury (so I'd really better stop being stubborn about mis-prioritizing my schedule if I want this body to keep holding out, huh?!). This time, though, it looks much different. This time it's the suffering of others and a desire to keep the majority safe which has caused my life to hard stop.
Through this time I have found myself continually considering things which I am thankful for, people I'm glad to reconnect with, and the curiosity of why we've all decided to reconnect so purposefully now.
So here's the plan... every week through the month of May, I will share one thing I am thankful for and how this time of COVID-19 has illuminated that in my life. My hope is that reading these will encourage and uplift you as you consider your life in this crazy, upside-down world.
