My name is Jacqueline. I am a twenty-something woman with a desire to love God and those He has chosen to put around me. Currently I am studying to be an early childhood teacher (pre-k to 4th grade) at a small university in my home state of Pennsylvania in the United States of America. Needless to say based off of that, I love educating and being with children. Loving young lives is a source of joy for me and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to be in a position to do so. Other passions of mine include being an athlete. During my time at the university, I compete for our women's varsity track and field team which has been a blessing in many ways. 

Through this blog I hope to share my experiences with you. My mantra is "life is a learning experience." I can't expect to be perfect or to do everything well (though I darn sure try and typically end up brunt out and discouraged because of it), and I surely hope that you don't expect me to be that way either. Something that I have been learning recently is that I can just be me and I don't have to try to perform or attempt to be someone who I am not. Through Simply Me I hope to explore who it is that I am and to be able to see and share the growth process as the beauty that it truly is.

     On the Friday before Christmas last year I was excitedly and slightly anxiously awaiting Roby’s arrival at Philadelphia Airport w here we would meet again for the first time in nearly two and a half years. #thankfulfor my athletics community

Every week through the month of May, I will share one thing I am thankful for and how this time of COVID-19 has illuminated that in my life. This week I’m highlighting my athletics community. A few weeks ago life seemed to stop, normal activities and work came to a screeching halt. In all this I've moved temporarily back to my parents house where I could be supported and surrounded by family while the nation and state are in "lockdown." For our sanity we attempt to get out for a walk each day, but just that doesn’t cut it sometimes. So one day I took to the workout archives and headed to the park with a throwback to my high school track and field days.  2016 high school graduation celebration with a few of the many people who made high school track so rewarding.
